[Salon] Trump Accuses Schumer of Being a Hamas Member, Blames Democrats for Israel Losing PR Battle - U.S. News - Haaretz.com

If you’re for the Israeli Fascist Coalition, and Yoram Hazony’s Settler-front National Conservatism, the “New Right,” as so many are here, there’s only one choice in the POTUS election! Even if the Democrats are within an iota of being as bad. But Trump explains why here:

"The world is angry at Israel, because the Democrat party doesn't stick up for Israel, doesn't justify anything having to do with Israel. And so they are not winning the war of public relations, to put it very, very simply," he said.

. . .

"Not that long ago, I'd say 10, 12, 15 years ago, there was no more powerful, call it a lobby, but there was no more powerful lobby than the Israeli lobby, than the Jewish lobby. Today, it's almost the opposite," Trump said, putting forward points that Republicans would have likely condemned as antisemitic if they came from a Democratic critic of organizations such as AIPAC."

The “Lobby” is only there to influence the Democrats now; the Republicans are there as full-fledged “Coalition Partners” of Natanyahu, Ben-Gvir, Smotrich, Hazony, et al., which should be self-evident with Hazony’s NatCon partner Vance on the ticket! And Trump just told us so!

CHICAGO - Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump reiterated many of his claims surrounding the Democratic Party and Israel, including again resorting to using "Palestinian" as a slur and accusing Democrats of posing a danger for Israel.

Trump's comments come as Democrats at their Chicago convention attempt to reject Republican allegations that the party is no longer pro-Israel nor a party that can adequately represent U.S. Jewish voters and the community at large.

"Israel's being hurt very badly by the Democrats," he told the Hugh Hewitt show, adding "they're making it very hard for Israel to win." Trump then again accused Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the highest ranking Jewish elected official in U.S. history, of "being a member of Hamas."

"The pressure that's being put on them by Biden and Schumer, who's frankly, you know, Schumer is, like is he a member of Hamas? Is he a Palestinian? I don't know, how would a Jewish person contribute to Democrats right now? They have to finish the job. Israel has to finish the job, get it done, and get it done fast," Trump said.

It goes without saying that Schumer is, indeed, not a member of Hamas, and the institution that he is a "Palestinian" is a unsubtly coded racial slur meant to demonize both Jewish critics of Israel as well as all Palestinians.

The comments came hours after Schumer directly accused Trump of empowering antisemitism from the DNC stage, saying "I want my grandkids – and all grandkids – to never face discrimination because of who they are. But Donald Trump – this is a guy who peddles antisemitic stereotypes."

"He even invited a white supremacist to Mar-a-Lago," Schumer added. Noting Trump's "prejudice goes in all directions. He fuels Islamophobia and issues a Muslim ban as president," he also highlighted how he was wearing a blue square as a symbol to "stand up against antisemitism and all hate."

Trump again repeated his assertion that Israel is losing the international battle for public relations, though this time placing blame on Democrats rather than blaming Israel itself.

"The world is angry at Israel, because the Democrat party doesn't stick up for Israel, doesn't justify anything having to do with Israel. And so they are not winning the war of public relations, to put it very, very simply," he said.

"Not that long ago, I'd say 10, 12, 15 years ago, there was no more powerful, call it a lobby, but there was no more powerful lobby than the Israeli lobby, than the Jewish lobby. Today, it's almost the opposite," Trump said, putting forward points that Republicans would have likely condemned as antisemitic if they came from a Democratic critic of organizations such as AIPAC.

Trump additionally repeated his allegation that Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris passed on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as her running made out of capitulation to the antisemitic fringes of her party.

"They didn't put him on because he's Jewish. I think he's highly overrated, too, by the way, but they didn't put him on because he's Jewish," he said. "And I just can't believe, when you look at the polls, where I'm probably up to 50%, 40%, 45%, and what I've done for Israel, and what I've done, I have been the best president by far for the Jewish people. There's never been anybody like me."

Speaking on the sidelines of the DNC, Shapiro strenuously denied his religion or antisemitism played any role in Harris' decision while noting Republicans are using this line to deflect attention to the antisemitism present in their own political party.

I would say he is pretty clearly articulating what a lot of his base and even other politicians in his party are thinking internally.

As long as I can remember, I would say, I have heard conservatives saying that anyone who believes in a "fabricated Palestinian identity" is doing so to support terrorism against Israel. Though you didn't hear conservative presidents and former presidents say it, until now.

trump is so scared, feeble little boy

Felon and former president Donald Trump on Thursday got the media hyped up to cover a "news conference" that was supposed to be about consumer prices, but turned into an incoherent, 45-minute rant, given from his private New Jersey country club, no less! The whole shambolic event, interspersed with rote recitations from a paper his staff gave him, was further evidence of his mental and emotional decline. Remember he's a racist convicted felon, a convicted rapist. He's not the only sleazebag in Trump's inner circle, of course. Top advisor Jason Miller was accused of drugging an ex-girlfriend with an abortion pill. He later sued a publication that ran a story about his repulsive behavior…and lost.

Yes, but there are a lot of other scared, feeble people out there more than happy to vote for someone like themselves. It's the dark side of representation.
